Your Liver affects your immune system. Support a healthy Liver and reclaim your health.

Hepatocytes are responsible for the production of 80–90% of the circulating innate immunity proteins in the body, and the liver contains a large number of resident immune cells. Therefore, researchers have also proposed that the liver is ‘an innate immune organ'. Although the primary functions of the liver are not traditionally considered to be immunological, the liver also performs many essential immune tasks. For example, hepatocytes are responsible for the production of 80–90% of the circulating innate immunity proteins in the body, and the liver contains a large number of resident immune cells. Therefore the health of our liver is paramount in maximizing wellness so be kind to your liver. Common signs of a toxic liver are: fatigue, joint pain, sinus problems, headache, difficulty sleeping, menstrual/hormonal imbalances, hot flashes, irritability, excess anger and more. The liver also relies on the healthy function or the gallbladder. Symptoms of a clogged gallbladder are: burping frequently, bloating, inability to digest fats, irritability, angry thoughts, weight gain, nausea after fatty meals, headaches, fatigue and sleep disturbances.

To support healthy liver and gallbladder functions avoid foods that are fried, starchy food such as bread pasts and baked goods, sugar, table salt, and keep alcohol consumption minimal. Eat more plant foods, green tea, garlic, berries, fatty fish, raw nuts, olive oil and avocado oil. Incorporating a healthy diet and lifestyle will support both the liver, gallbladder and overall health and longevity.
